Introduction
This document describes Winamp Icon Packs. Thanks to this you will learn more about Winamp Icon Packs, how to install and how to use it.
Icon Packs
Winamp Icon Packs are libraries that contains a set of predefined icons. This icons are displayed for files with extension that describes file types associated with Winamp. Icon Packs looks nice especially in Windows Vista / 7 Explorer (it is possible to display 256x256 px icons).
This functionality is brought to you thanks to 'Jump to File Extra' plugin (JTFE) by DrO. This plugin is a part of official Winamp distribution. You can customise the icons, which are shown for files, which are associated with Winamp. To get it working, you must have installed Winamp v5.58 or higher with JTFE v1.1 plugin (or newer).
To enable this feature, open Winamp Preferences (Ctrl + P), navigate to 'Jump to File' > 'Extras' page and select "Enable 'File Types' preferences page additions". To change or set default Winamp icon library use dropdown list with installed icon packs.
Note: Icon pack installer allows you to choose the default icon pack and automatically select all necessary options.
Additionally you have to move the 'File Icon' & 'Playlist Icon' sliders to bottom in "Preferences > File Types" page. The currently used icon library, which allows custom icons for supported file extensions can be also previewed on this preference page. You can open any folder in Windows containing Winamp-associated filetypes and see the icon(s) change in real-time.
You can watch icon packs presentation on special video file. This video shows icon packs installation process, describes how to setup and change an icon pack. It also shows how the choosen icon pack looks depends on choosen Windows Explorer view (video is encoded as wmv file. It is 18 MB).
Icon Packs description
Till now, I have created three icon packs. You can download it from Winamp.com server. The first one contains also an icon pack from JonnyMac (winamp.com forum moderator). Below you can find its description with example images.
You can also download and install it directly using extended version of polish language pack installer (after you choose an icon pack it will be downloaded from Winamp.com server). Then you can install it when you finish installation of language pack (there is a special installer page to do this).

Installation
You can install Winamp Icon Pack thanks to simple and easy to use installer. Installer is created in NSIS. The installation process is described in this document. It shouldn't be a problem for anyone. Installer will copy required files and will configure system.
